Academic Brilliance – (by Professor Sathish Dhawan)

Academic Brilliance is no different than the brilliance of a MIRROR. Once the dust is removed, the mirror shines and the reflection is clear. We can remove impurities by living pure and ethical lives and serving humanity, and God will shine through us.

Negative Thinking effects- (by Dr. Brahma Prakash)

Life is Precious gift, but it comes with responsibilities. with this gift, we are expected to use our talents to make a world a better place. Negative thinking is similar to carrying twenty bags of luggage on a trip. This baggage will make your trip miserable, and Progress will be slow.

Reason for our EGO attitude- (by Chief Monk of Tawang Village)

In the present world, we have a problem of distrust and unhappiness transforming into violence. When you remove “I” and “ME” from your mind, you will eliminate EGO. If you get rid of your EGO, hatred towards fellow human being will vanish.

Being Brave- (by Nelson Mandela)

Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conqures that fear.

Meaning of FAMILY- (American author Jonathan Safran)

The author writes in his Novel Everything is Illuminated – ‘One day you will do things for me that you hate. That’s is what it means to be FAMILY.

Benefits Of Reading Habit

Why You Should Read Every Day

When was the last time you read a book or an interesting article? Do your daily reading habits end ups with a tweet on twitter, daily posts on Facebook, updating your Whatsapp Status, or snapping hole day on Snapchat ??? If you’re one of the countless people who doesn’t make a habit of reading regularly, you might be missing out many precious things that can Change your life and way of thinking and be looking world with a different eye. Reading has a significant number of benefits& some are stated below:

1. Mental Health.

Reading happens when we mix different neurological functions, such as sight, language comprehension, and associative learning, and derive a message from letters and words. To top it off, reading prompts us to go as slow as we need to so that we can wrap our minds around the story and ask questions about it, really utilizing our mental capacity. All of this keeps the mind sharp, the wit quick, and preserves memory.Keeping your brain active and engaged prevents it from losing power. Just like any other muscle in the body, the brain requires exercise to keep it strong and healthy, so the phrase “use it or lose it” is particularly apt when it comes to your mind.

2. Reduces Stress

I don’t know how it works, but after enough time of reading, my mind always feels upgraded. Programming our minds by moving consciously into the flow state of another wise person is powerful. No matter how much stress have at work, in your personal relationships, or countless other issues faced in daily life, it all just slips away when you lose yourself in a great story. A well-written novel can transport you to other realms, while an engaging article will distract you and keep you in the present moment, letting tensions drain away and allowing you to relax.

3.Knowledge

Have you ever thought why we Learn new things and still cannot forget the previously learned things? our brains are designed to do get more and more knowledge. Everything you read fills your head with new bits of information, and you never know when it might come in handy. The more knowledge you have, the better-equipped you are to tackle any challenge you’ll ever face

Apparently, these statistics don’t apply to the busiest and most successful people.

Warren Buffet reads 500 pages a day
Mark Cuban reads 3 hours a day
Bill Gates reads 50 books a year

now you would be thinking why these people do reading when they have such a big empire to run..!! but the thing is they read because they want to gain more and more Knowledge and things that are changing lives around the world. They want to be updated about what is happening in other corners of world and while reading they can put some efforts and make difference

4.Vocabulary Expansion

Being articulate and well-spoken is of great help in any profession, and knowing that you can speak to higher-ups with self-confidence can be an enormous boost to your self-esteem. It could even aid in your career, as those who are well-read, well-spoken, and knowledgeable on a variety of topics tend to get promotions more quickly than those with smaller vocabularies and lack of awareness of literature, scientific breakthroughs, and global events. Reading books is also vital for learning new languages, as non-native speakers gain exposure to words used in context, which will ameliorate their own speaking and writing fluency.

5.Memory Improvement & Analytical Thinking Skills

Technology can’t change our lives, only we can. When we take a perfect technology like books and wield them for good, we’ll build habits that can change our lives, lift up those around us, or even gain the secrets necessary to create new types of perfect technology. Mystery novels books which make have you sitting on the edge of the seat till the last page. When you spend time thinking over everything that happens, trying to understand the plot, it improves your Analytical & Memory skills automatically. You should always have an opportunity to discuss the book with others, you’ll be able to state your opinions clearly, as you’ve taken the time to really consider all the aspects involved.

“A great book should leave you with many experiences, and slightly exhausted at the end. You live several lives while reading.”
― William Styron

6.Improved Focus and Concentration

Focusing can be difficult and gadgets have a tendency to reduce concentration. A book, on the other hand, does the opposite and helps you increase your concentration. When you read a book, all of your attention is focused on the story—the rest of the world just falls away, and you can immerse yourself in every fine detail you’re absorbing. Try reading for 15-20 minutes before work (i.e. on your morning commute, if you take public transit), and you’ll be surprised at how much more focused you are once you get to the office.

“I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book.”
― Groucho Marx

As an avid book reader can tell you, immersing yourself in a great book can make your brain come alive. It sounds romantic, but science is now proving this to be true. When we read, not only are we improving memory and empathy, but research has shown that it makes us feel better and more positive too. Science has shown that reading has some amazing health benefits, including helping with depression, cutting stress, and reducing the chances of developing Alzheimer’s later in life.

RICH DAD POOR DAD

29502358._UY630_SR1200,630_Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki.

This is the First book read by me in my reading career and I can say this has helped me to read more and more books on Financial Independence. Financial Freedom wow two so small words which are just easy to say but very difficult to do when it comes to implementing it in REAL WORLD. I can say that when it comes to teaching anything Robert Kiyosaki and his team puts real effort and explained in very simple language and simple manner. When I started this book first I love it, the ways of explanations in this book which are acceptable in Real world and have become a kind of Fan of Robert Kiyosaki. I have also attended some events organized by Rich Dad Poor Dad Organisations, and I learned many many things from them.

RICH DAD POOR DAD – Strange name right..!! yeah, it is but it is not that he had 2 dads, but 1st was his own Father and 2nd was his best friends Father. Both taught him 2 separate things with same motive every father has either make their child successful in Life.

1st dad was well educated and 2nd was not well educated but known how to run a business, both were hard working and use to teach Robert different things with their own perspective. 1st dad uses to say get well educated so you can work for a big good company and have a happy life, 2nd use to say get well educated and start your own business to you give employment to other people and live a happy life. But as Robert was a smart kid he listens to both his fathers and implemented the learning in his own way, and now today he is a well-known person around the world.

Things I Learned from this book.
1) Learning Financial Literacy
Financial Literacy means knowing the difference between ASSETS and LIABILITIES
yeah, it’s to simple right ..?? everybody knows the meaning of Assets and Liabilities but very few know what it actually means.
ASSETS vs LIABILITIES – Many people think Assets is what is own by them either House, Car, Land & building, etc. but in actual Financial terms, they are Wrong. Any ASSETS which does not generate them  INCOME is a LIABILITIES. Yes, that’s true. The main Financial literacy is knowing the difference between  ASSETS vs. LIABILITIES.
An asset is something that generates income, while a liability is anything that has costs. In other words, by this definition, your primary residence is not an asset but a liability. It may have cash value, but it doesn’t generate income. Instead, assets are forms of passive income that you control, like a rental property or intellectual property.
Basically, you become rich by accumulating assets, assets as defined by this book. This basically means that, if I Own a house is not an asset but if I rent that house and it generates revenue on its own either – Rental Income now this is and Assets. Wealth comes from having enough assets that generate enough income so that all of your expenses are covered and there is enough left over to invest in more assets.

2) Make Money Work For You
Once you understand the meaning of Financial Literacy, you will understand that you need more Assets then Liabilities. This will help you to think ways to create more and more assets and this will lead to more and more Income.
This book also taught that our Education system does not teach us how to MAKE MONEY WORK FOR YOU, they just taught us to get a good Education, learn professional things and work for Money  NOT Make Money Work For You. This lead us later on work for “Government”, earn more and pay more TAX.
People buy more things they do not require on loans, like buying expensive Cars, latest technology phones, branded watches, bikes and so on…  they just look for temporary happiness which takes all their hard earned money from their pockets and make Banks or Government richer. So the only way to earn more TAX-Free money is to acquire assets that produce income is a way of having money work for you.  Examples are passive income like real estate, portfolio income like stocks, bonds, etc…, or businesses.
In this Book, Rich dad is actually a quite simple living person. Although he has a lot of money in the bank, he drives a cheap car and doesn’t live in a mansion. Too many people equate rich with material things, so I enjoy it when it is shown that being rich often has very little connection to material possessions. Being rich means never having to worry about paying your bills.

3) Mind Your Own Business
As I have stated in the introduction, what Robert 2nd dad use to say, is own business. There a good story in the book about Mc Donalds, he goes to some event where he asks people to guess what business he owns..?? and some guy says that he is in the world own Burger business, but then he laughs so hard and explains he is in Real Estate business. He owns the places and then set business there.
Do read this and watch this movie https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Founder . its original movie on Mc Donalds.
I strongly agree with: pay off your debts and start investing as soon as you can into things that can generate revenue.

4) Work to Learn
We need to learn, how to Work to learn. This basically means we need to keep learning new things. Whatever we learn we can apply in normal life as well. The rich in fact do work, and they work quite hard. They work to learn things, and the things they learn can easily be applied to make money over and over again. The easiest way to mint your own money in today’s arena is through creating your own intellectual property.

Well, there are many more things to be learned from this book, for which I will suggest you all read it. Its a book every age member can read & it should be on your Must read book list.

please do leave a comment if you have any ideas to suggest and share this with your friends and family.

HARRY POTTER SERIES

unnamedHarry Potter – most of the people know harry potter the brave kid. Most people have also seen its movies. Harry Potter Movies have encouraged everybody to live in their Wizarding world and learn magic, but the REAL MAGIC is in reading the Books.

Harry Potter is a series of fantasy novels written by British author J. K. Rowling. The novels chronicle the life of a young wizard, Harry Potter, and his friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, all of whom are students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The main story arc concerns Harry’s struggle against Lord Voldemort, a dark wizard who intends to become immortal, overthrow the wizard governing body known as the Ministry of Magic, and subjugate all wizards and muggles, a reference term that means non-magical people.

So it comes as no surprise that there are several life lessons the majority of our generation learned from the series along the way. After all, Harry Potter wasn’t exactly the “chosen one” when it came to being a model student.

Books make DIFFERENCE

Reading has always been a habit of great leaders. It’s one of the most powerful sources of growth, inspiration and new ideas. Reading is a great investment in your personal development.
This doesn’t need to apply only to young businesspeople, though. It can be even more important for seasoned employees; leaders must be readers. Reading and learning from peers within, and outside of, your industry enables you to grow as an employee, business owner, and leader in three distinct ways.
“The best leaders are readers of people. They have the intuitive ability to understand others by discerning how they feel and recognizing what they sense.”
Reading can also make you more effective in leading others. Reading increases verbal intelligence (PDF), making a leader a more adept and articulate communicator. Reading novels can improve empathy and understanding of social cues, allowing a leader to better work with and understand others — traits that author Anne Kreamer persuasively linked to increased organizational effectiveness, and to pay raises and promotions for the leaders who possessed these qualities. And any business person understands that heightened emotional intelligence will improve his or her leadership and management ability. You can have Reading habits to , below steps can help to achive reading habbits
1. Carry your book(s) everywhere. There’s always an opportunity to read. Maybe at the DMV or before a business meeting. Whenever you have a moment, you can break out your book and read. Especially if you like to read digital versions. I still prefer hard copy.
“Never Trust a Person who carries Book with him”  this is a good Quote right…? as when we talk to peoples we don’t know what type of person is unless they shows us their knowledge. So always carry a book and don’t just carry also read it, seeing a book will encourage to read it.
2. Keep a list. There’s a sense of fulfillment and motivation tracking the books you’ve read. You’ll always be able to reference the list or provide recommendations, and will be inspired by the compounding effect reading has. always have a target to read minimum ages through the day either say  10-15 pages this will help to push yourself from 10 to 20, 30 ….. and so on.
3. Read multiple books. This strategy works well for me. I like to have different books in different areas of my living quarters. Also, reading multiple books at once helps keep my mind and thoughts fresh. I get bored easily, so I like to keep on my toes however I can.

if you are new reader then always start with story teller like Harry Potter series.
4. Try a brand new way of reading. Is there still room for innovation in reading? A couple of new reading tools say yes.Spritz and Blinkist take unique approaches to helping you read more—one helps you read faster and the other helps you digest books quicker.
5. Buy an e-reader. In the Pew research study that showed peoples reading habits, Pew also noted that the average reader of e-books reads 24 books in a year, compared to a person without an e-reader who reads an average of 15.Could you really read nine more books a year just by purchasing an e-reader?Certainly the technology is intended to be easy-to-use, portable, and convenient. Those factors alone could make it easier to spend more time reading when you have a spare minute. Those spare minutes might not add up to nine books a year, but it’ll still be time well spent.
6. Change your mindset. To the successful, a dream isn’t achieved by deliberating how to reach it, but rather it’s a specific, well-conceived desire that always happens. You can do this today by turning your reading habits into specific, time-sensitive goals, and placing them on the top of your priority list every day.

Maybe we can’t all read 500 pages a day like Warren Buffet, or finish 50 books a year like Bill Gates. But you can commit to using these tips to read more books this year, improve your ability to absorb information, and benefit from scientific advantages that reading can bring.

If you have any more tips on reading habits, share them with me or leave a comment!
